After spending nearly 9 hours traveling this was my first real meal at 10pm I loved that they had a great breakfast menu AND salads. I had the sesame salad with chicken and an order of the jalapeño cheddar hush puppies. Definitely hit the spot. Staff was super attentive and friendly too. The place was poppin for delivery and takeout but we decided to eat there. Restaurant has a cozy feel, and was didn't feel loud or crowded.
I just moved to NY a couple months ago, my bf introduced this restaurant. I love it! Great food great vibes, definitely come back soon!
Absolutely best places to eat in Brooklyn! Whether it's brunch or dinner, Sweet Chick is consistently excellent! It is must every time I come to New York! The service is always great, and the restaurant kind of has an intimate vibe but it's perfect for all occasions, date night, group outings or girls night. Thank you Dj Olabode for putting me on! 10/10!!
Spent the day vintage shopping and worked up a appetite and so glad i did, because we ended up stopping in at Sweet Chick! The place is cozy, dimly lit with a playlist of some your favorite r&b music that takes you back. We had a 30 minute wait since the space is limited and everyone was trying to get a table, but i can't blame them because the food smelled so good! We were seated and next was the drinks which we all got the guava lemonade which was delicious! and my friend ended up getting tequila in hers which she loved! Next we ordered the food, we got the Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich , the Jalapeno Hush Puppies and Fish Sandwich. Let me just say the food did not disappoint at all, and our plates were clean with not one bite left haha. I must say you can't wrong ordering any of what we had, just be warned the Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich will definitely lite your mouth on fire in a good way, and the hush puppies were fried perfectly and not oily at all. The fish also looked very flavorful and flaky and my friends seemed to enjoy it ! The service was also great, so shout out to our waiter who took our orders and made sure we got our food quickly and everything tasted to our liking. If your in the area , you definitely need to stop in.
Overall, I was pretty impressed with the mimosa and Eggs Benedict I ordered at Sweet Chick's Williamsburg, Brooklyn location. The ambiance itself is fun, as they had hip-hop and pop music playing (volume wise, was a tad on the loud side, whether or not you like that). There was ample seating inside, and to-go seating outside (it would've been nice to be able to sit outside on such a beautiful day, but I was told it was for to-go only). The prices themselves are reasonable and while they don't have the biggest menu, there are a handful of delicious options to choose from. My Eggs Benedict came out beautifully, I only wish a side came with the dish, as it's my go-to brunch meal and most places I order at do come with a side. Otherwise, no complaints, as it was very well-presented, and was as scrumptious as it looked. My mimosa was crafted perfectly and went well with my benny, too. My friend enjoyed his spicy honey butter chicken biscuit, hash browns, and Queen of NY drink overall as well. Service was efficient and friendly. The only other thing I noticed is their bathroom door lock wasn't working; maybe it's fixed now though. I'll definitely be back here to try more items off their menu!
Food here is very good!!! A loud and crowded vibe when I got here. It is like a bar setting in the restaurant and there is outside dining with wooden tables. I got loaded fries and chicken and waffles. You can customize how the chicken is cooked and what seasoning to put. There is cinnamon powder on the Belgian waffles so it added an extra kick to the flavor. Very tasty. Next time I come here I will try out other selections! Yummy
I love sweet chick. Its always good. I've been a few times for events and have tried the complimentary little chicken sandwiches they pass around, and I've ordered the fried chicken pieces on a plate, but this time I tried the sweet chili sandwich which was super good! The sweet chili chicken sandwich is really messy so prepare yourself for pieces dropping, and sauce all over your hands, but its worth it. The flavors together are really really good. I had the iced tea which paired well with the sandwich. I also tried the grits. The grits are also really good. Very filling, and a lot of flavor. They were so good we just keep eating them! If you haven't been to sweet chick yet in the city I would def recommend you trying it out! I don't think you will be disapointed!
